Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel, Inc. in Madison, N.C. was founded in 1970 by a group of people who wanted to offer a choice of funeral homes in the area. It was formed as a stock company and shares were offered to the public. The majority of shareholders live in Rockingham, Stokes, Forsyth, and Guilford counties. We are truly locally owned and operated.
In 2005, in order to better serve the citizens in surrounding counties, our Board of Directors decided to establish a facility in Sandy Ridge. Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel opened for service February 2006. Colonial Funeral Home currently operates two funeral homes: Colonial Funeral Home and Chapel, Inc., located at 127 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC and Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel, located at 1020 Hope Beasley Road, Sandy Ridge, NC. Both funeral homes offer full service and are equipped with a preparation room, selection room, chapel, general office, arrangement office, private sitting area and paved parking. In 2016, a state of the art cremation facility was constructed at our Stokes Chapel location in order to meet the cremation needs of Rockingham, Stokes and surrounding counties.

We offer a comfortable lobby in case you need to take a break and get away from things.
When it comes time to work out the details, we have a separate conference area to help keep your matters private.
A large chapel is available for viewing and for funeral services on loaction.
And for the ones that prefer a cremation, we have a crematory facility on our location to meet those needs.
